When an error occurs, it shows the driver name in which the error is caused. In order to fix the error, you should instantly uninstall the particular driver and reinstall the latest version of that driver again.  The steps involved in this method are as follows:

Step 1 – Use the combination of ‘Windows key + x’ to open a list of services.

Step 2 –Choose “Device Manager” from the list. You can also press the letter ‘M’ to do so. Once you open the Device Manager you will see a list of application and drivers installed in your PC. Or you can just open the Driver Manager by typing Driver Manager in the search bar.

Step 3- Out of the given list of applications and drivers, select the driver displayed in the error message and right click on it which will show a list of actions that can be performed with the driver. From those actions select ‘uninstall device’.

Step 4 –When the device is uninstalled, download the latest version of the driver. Install the downloaded latest version of the driver in your computer System.

Step 5 –Once the installation of the latest version of driver is completed, reboot your computer system.

The Kmode exception not handled error should be solved now. By chance, if it is not solved, it means that the drivers are intact but something else is causing the error. The following methods are recommended to solve the error.

Method 2: Free Up Memory Space on Your Computer

In due course of time of using the computer system, it accumulates different files and folders, cookies, downloads etc. which consumes a lot of the disk space on your computer system.

Step 4 – Once you click ‘Update Driver’ it will direct you to two options on how to search for the driver software. You can choose either ‘Search automatically for updated driver software’or Browse my computer for driver software.’

Note – If you are choosing ‘Browse my computer for driver software’ option it will display a list of available drivers so carefully choose the latest version of the driver.

Step 5 – Wait for the drivers to be updated. Once the drivers are updated, reboot the computer.

The problem of Kmode exception not handled error should be solved after the execution of this method. But if the problem persists follow the next method to solve the problem.

Method 4: Open the Computer System in Safe Mode to Check for Errors

Whenever any error occurs it is always better to open the computer system in safe mode. Usually the computer system uses a lot of resources but in safe mode the computer system uses only minimum resources which makes it easier to locate the errors occurring. Steps:

Step 1 – Boot your computer System and press any key.

Step 2 – Select ‘Repair Your Computer’ option from the left bottom of your screen. You will see three options from which you have to choose ‘Troubleshoot’.

Step 3 – Again you will see three options from which you have to choose ‘Advanced Options’. After that, select ‘Startup Settings’ from the given options.

Step 4 – Click on the Restart button on the right bottom of your screen. Once these steps are done, press F4, F5, and F6 keys which correspond to Boot in Safe Mode.

On the completion of the seventh step the system will boot into the Safe mode where you can check for the cause of the Kmode exception not handled error and fix it.
